A Financial Bull Sculpture by Laurel Peterson Gregory

Edition of 55
I’d been wanting to create a bull sculpture for some time before I finally got to do Stabullity. They’re such powerful and symbolic creatures. As is often the case, I had to wait patiently for the design to wend its way into my brain. I can try to tell myself it’s time to create a specific piece, but inspiration is a necessary ingredient that can be elusive.
I’m thrilled with everything about Stabullity; not only the way it came out, but the story and symbolism. I chose to express the positive and forward movement of the economy, combining a dynamic bull with the symbolism of three pillars. Interestingly, in the investment world the three pillars are representative of sustainability. I love that word. Sustainability means meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. The three pillars represent People, Planet, and Profit.
