A Bronze Bear Sculpture by Laurel

This little bear was the beginning of the Desk Buddy family. The very first one. As this fellow looked up at me from the palm of my hand, I had the sudden clear vision of a line of smaller, more accessible bronzes that could bring joy to even more people.
Like my larger tabletop piece, Bear Bump, I wanted to capture the gentler side of these formidable creatures. While they represent power, bears also know how to cut loose. It’s a lesson most of us could stand to learn.
