I’ve been very fortunate throughout my art career to interact with and get feedback from my collectors, both at shows and via email.  Occasionally, someone really touches me by expressing how they connect with one of my sculptures.

Note for Pause for Reflection Sculpture

The above note came from Linda and Brian, who purchased a Pause for Reflection, one of my Limited-Edition bronze fox sculptures. As a child of the 50s, there is just something about a hand-written note that still deeply connects with me, so I felt the need to share.

“…Thank you again for making our Christmas so special! It was a wonderful surprise for me and I will treasure this sweet sculpture.”

As an artist, you’re never 100% sure if viewers and collectors connect with your work the way you perhaps envisioned.  So when you get a heartfelt note like this, it really inspires and serves as a reminder for why we do what we do.

If you’re an art collector, have you ever connected with a work of art so much that you let the artist know? If you haven’t, try it; you’ll really make an artist’s day.

Thanks to all of my collectors who have adopted and shared their stories. You rock!
