2011 will be the year of Unbridled Joy.

Welcome to Laurel's first horse piece. This graceful and joyful piece is 4' tall and is about 20" deep and 18" wide. It will reside on a 20" obelisk-shaped metal base, making the total height almost 6'.
Laurel's goal was to capture the movement and the mechanics of the equine form while instilling her own vision of how we all express emotion. This happy creature is kicking off its rein and bridle as it reaches for the sky.

But will also include some time for play. Triple Play, to be precise.

Triple Play may not be a dance piece, but it does include three very playful and curious foxes. In this piece, Laurel combinde her exploration of a new animal form with an open, modernistic architecture. The entire piece is approximately 34" high and 12" wide and deep.
The topmost fox will be cast separately in a smaller desktop piece called Pause for Reflection. If you prefer a somewhat quieter moment in time, you be amazed to see the difference in feeling when this character is looking into a pool from a small bridge.
